Glaucoma
Comprehensive glaucoma evaluation and management including diagnostic testing, medical therapy, laser procedures, and surgical interventions aimed at long-term preservation of optic nerve function and visual fields.

Glaucoma services focus on early detection, accurate diagnosis, and ongoing management to preserve optic nerve function and prevent visual field loss. Evaluation includes detailed examination of the optic nerve head, measurement of intraocular pressure, gonioscopy for angle assessment, perimetry to evaluate visual fields, and imaging of the retinal nerve fibre layer to detect structural changes.
Management is tailored to the individual, ranging from medical therapy to laser procedures and surgical interventions. Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) is offered for selected patients as part of a structured stepwise approach.
Follow-up is structured to monitor disease stability over time, assess response to therapy, and adjust treatment when required. Patient education, adherence to therapy, and long-term monitoring of both structural and functional parameters are emphasised to optimise preservation of vision.
